Writing
My experience in public relations has equipped me to write for companies by upholding their brand’s messaging at the center of the content I produce for them. I am capable of writing articles and blog posts in a condensed yet informative manner to express a company’s mission.
I launched my personal blog, New Romanticism, as a sophomore in college, yearning for a space to explore my interests through a creative lens. If it’s romance you’re looking for, you’ve come to the right place. I never run out of ideas to examine the multifaceted nature of what it means to love and be loved.
Editing
With exquisite attention to detail, I catch the errors that catch you by surprise, like when you switch tenses by accident midway through a chapter. Whether it’s punctuation, sentence structure, or formatting, I attain the skills necessary to make your work as polished as possible.
During my senior year of college I was the co-editor-in-chief of my university’s literary journal. Before then, I was the head copyeditor for two years. Doing so increased my understanding of how writers can get to their heart of their story in less words, making the meaning punch deeper.
Coaching
One of my favorite aspects about creativity is collaboration. From hearing a writer’s initial thoughts about a new idea, to adding finishing touches on their final draft, I’m happy to walk alongside you as you unearth the messy, lovely, frustrating, eye-opening, inspiring parts of the writing process.
I was a writing coach for two years in college and it was the most rewarding role I’ve ever filled. Since then I’ve continued to provide tutoring for middle and high school students, workshop with creative writers in my circle, and work one-on-one with authors as they bring their visions to life.
